Brad's team

Dear Ones,

Thank you so much for your continued support of our son, Brad Patrick, and his Alpha-1 journey. On June 11, 2018 Brad received a double-lung transplant at UCHealth and, although he had numerous complications and a longer than anticipated recovery, today Brad is healthy and happy and enjoying his second chance at life. We cannot adequately express our gratitude to you, for your many prayers and acts of kindness shown to us along the way.

Brad's story is nothing short of miraculous and we thank God for hearing and answering our prayers. Alpha-1 Anti-trypsin Deficiency remains on the NORD list (National Organization of Rare Diseases) and at present there is no cure.  As a result, Brad continues to receive weekly infusion therapy to protect his new lungs from the destruction this rare genetic disease brings.  Our family is walking in Denver on August 4th to raise Alpha-1 awareness, and to raise money for continued research for a cure. Any donation is greatly appreciated, knowing that together we can make a difference for those with Alpha-1.

 Sincere Thanks,

                                       Jane (Patrick) DeVries
